Effective Strategies to Prevent Burnout and Compassion Fatigue in Mental Health Professionals

CE Hours 1

About this course

Mental health professionals dedicate their lives to supporting the well-being of others—but often at the cost of their own emotional, physical, and psychological health. This engaging and interactive CE webinar is designed to equip clinicians with evidence-based tools to recognize, address, and prevent burnout and compassion fatigue in their own lives and practice. Participants will explore the clinical features and distinctions between burnout and compassion fatigue, identify early warning signs, assess personal and systemic risk factors, and apply effective self-care strategies across four key domains: physical, emotional, social, and spiritual. The training emphasizes ethical responsibility, resilience-building, and sustainable practices that foster longevity and fulfillment in the helping professions. This course goes beyond theory, offering practical exercises, peer dialogue, and an opportunity to create a personalized self-care action plan that supports both personal well-being and clinical excellence.
