Andrea Connell, an independently licensed social worker since 2010, has dedicated her career to working with children and families across diverse settings. With extensive experience in foster care, she has supported foster, adoptive, and birth families, developing a strong foundation in trauma-informed care. Her background also includes early intervention as a home visitor and parent educator, community mental health therapy, and training adult learners within the child welfare system. Andrea’s therapeutic approach is person-centered and strengths-based, emphasizing a nonjudgmental, supportive space while acknowledging systemic oppression’s impact on individuals and families. She integrates cognitive-behavioral and trauma-informed principles to help clients achieve their personal goals. Passionate about supporting parents in the postpartum period and advocating for children in foster care, Andrea also serves her community as a peer breastfeeding counselor. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
