Alona Perlin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in developmental psychology, behavioral intervention, and clinical practice. She earned her first master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University. Since then, she has worked as a Behavior Intervention Specialist supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and co-occurring diagnoses, including schizophrenia spectrum disorders, mood disorders, and autism spectrum disorder. She later earned a Master’s of Social Work from New York University and obtained clinical licensure in both New York and New Jersey. In her clinical work, Alona supports individuals and couples experiencing anxiety disorders, mood disorders, grief reactions, relationship structure dynamics and trauma responses. In addition to her clinical work, Alona applied her expertise to social work by providing individual, group, and workshop-based tutoring for Social Work Licensing Exam preparation. She authored self-published guidebooks and curriculum materials designed to further support the social work exam learning process. In her leisure time, Alona is an avid traveler, passionate reader and animal lover.
